SpotGo Privacy Policy
SpotGo is a privacy-aware parking service. This policy explains the information the current app and service use, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Current product scope
SpotGo is currently a controlled free pilot. Driver, Mapper and Driver + Mapping may be available only in supported pilot areas and when the relevant safety, consent, legal, model and service checks pass.
The current free-service pilot does not offer paid Premium or App Store purchases. SpotGo Credits and Partner Rewards may be available when the relevant server-side reward controls are enabled. Credits are non-cash. Historical purchase or entitlement records can still be maintained when needed to reconcile earlier account state.
Information SpotGo uses
- Account information. Email address, username, optional profile name, account identifiers, consent records and account-security state are used to create and operate your SpotGo account.
- Precise location. When a Driver or Mapping workflow is active, location is used to show nearby parking, determine pilot eligibility, associate evidence with known parking segments and measure session movement.
- Mapping observations. Accepted observations can include time, parking status, confidence, segment/session references, location accuracy, heading, speed, model version and quality/safety diagnostics.
- Device and installation information. SpotGo can use an installation identifier, app version, operating system/device information and notification token when notifications are enabled. These support account security, controlled rollout, compatibility and operational notifications.
- Support, feedback and product interaction. Support messages, optional parking-issue notes, account actions, feature interactions and bounded diagnostic/performance information can be stored to operate, review, troubleshoot and improve the service.
- Credits and reward history. When rewards are enabled, SpotGo can process credit balances, append-only ledger entries, Partner offer redemptions and issued voucher lifecycle information to operate the rewards service.
- Purchase history when applicable. The current free-service pilot does not offer purchases. Existing App Store transaction or entitlement records may be processed when necessary to reconcile an already-bound historical subscription.
Camera, motion and Mapping
In the production Mapping design, camera frames are processed temporarily on the iPhone to evaluate known parking segments. Raw production Mapping photo or video frames are not uploaded to SpotGo and are not saved by the production Mapping workflow. SpotGo does not capture Mapping audio.
Device motion is used to check whether the mounted phone angle is suitable for Mapping. Mapping requires explicit in-app consent and never silently resumes after a reviewed interruption.
How information is used
- provide account, Driver, Mapping and support functionality;
- evaluate parking availability and legal/service eligibility;
- protect account, pilot and data-quality boundaries;
- operate notifications that you choose to enable;
- operate SpotGo Credits and Partner Rewards when enabled;
- diagnose reliability, performance and safety issues; and
- maintain required operational, security and audit records.
The current app does not use collected app data for cross-company advertising tracking.
Service providers and sharing
SpotGo may use service providers needed to operate the service, including hosting/infrastructure, transactional email and Apple platform services such as App Store transaction verification or push delivery when those capabilities are enabled. They receive only the information needed for the relevant service and are expected to apply protections appropriate to that processing.
Parking information can also originate from official public data sources. Source attribution is kept separately from personal account information.
Retention and deletion
SpotGo limits operational retention by data category. Current service defaults remove route-point history after 7 days, Mapping observations after 30 days and push-delivery records after 90 days. Privileged audit records are normally retained for 365 days. Some records can be kept longer where needed for security, transaction integrity, legal obligations or an unresolved support/operational matter.
You can permanently request deletion from Account → Manage account & security → Delete account in the app. Account deletion removes or detaches account-bound information according to the backend lifecycle. Storage cleanup that cannot safely complete in the account transaction can continue asynchronously from a deletion record.
Your choices
- Mapping is optional. You can revoke Mapping consent in SpotGo Settings.
- Notification delivery is optional and can be disabled in SpotGo or iOS Settings.
- Camera, Location When In Use and Motion permissions can be managed through iOS Settings.
- You can contact SpotGo for privacy, access or deletion questions.

Changes to this policy
This page will be updated when SpotGo's public data practices change. App Store privacy answers and the shipped release must be reviewed against the actual binary and network behaviour before each release.
